It’s academic: Blanchester top SBAAC Quiz Team

WILMINGTON — The Blanchester Wildcats defeated No. 1 seed Georgetown 58-38 in the championship game of the SBAAC Academic Quiz Team tournament held Saturday at Wilmington High School.

The Wildcats had defeated the G-Men earlier in the tournament 38-37.

Wilmington went 1-1 in the tournament with 29-17 upset win against No. 3 seed Bethel-Tate. The Hurricane was knocked out of the tournament by Felicity, 49-26.

East Clinton defeated Williamsburg 25-15 but lost to New Richmond and Felicity.
