A celebration of community

WILMINGTON — Locals were honored for their contributions to Clinton County at the annual C4 Awards — sponsored by the Clinton County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CCCVB) and the Wilmington-Clinton County Chamber of Commerce — Friday night at The Murphy Theatre.

Clarksville camper destroyed in fire

The Clinton Warren Joint Fire District responded to a large camper and attached building fire at the 4800 block of State Route 350 in Clarksville on Saturday. According to its Facebook post regarding the fire, the Fire District was assisted by the Blanchester Marion Township Fire Department to extinguish the fire. No injuries were reported. The cause is undetermined at this time. The camper was a complete loss, according to assistant chief Brad Burton.

WCS removes tax levy from ballot

WILMINGTON — The Wilmington City School District Board of Education voted Friday morning to remove a proposed tax levy from the March 19 primary ballot.
