John and Rita (McKay) Howell of Wilmington celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017 with family members. They were married Sept. 3, 1957.
The couple has three daughters — Karen Eifert of Nashville, Tennessee, Kathy Borton of Wilmington and Kim Snyder of Wilmington. The Howells have seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
John is retired from Randal Textron and Wilmington City Schools and Rita is employed by Wilmington City Schools.
