Anna Kathleen “Katie” Trainer of St. Louis, Missouri and Michael Gregory Zdinak also of St. Louis announce their engagement. They will be married Jan. 2, 2016 in Covington, Kentucky.

Katie is the daughter of Sible Trainer of Wilmington and the late Charles “Buddy” Trainer. Michael is the son of Jim and Sue Zdinak of Florence, Kentucky.

Katie graduated from Blanchester High School and the University of Cincinnati, and she has a master’s degree in Biological Anthropology from Colorado State University. She is currently studying Public Health at St. Louis University.

Michael graduated from St. Henry High School and the University of Cincinnati. He is currently studying Economics at Washington University in St. Louis.

The couple met in the University of Cincinnati Marching Band.
