If you heard a few whoops and hollers from out near the interstate Sunday afternoon, don’t be alarmed. It was just R&L Carriers celebrating a victory in the Daytona 500.
Matt Kenseth won NASCAR’s Super Bowl on Sunday, a rain-shortened victory in the first race of the Sprint Cup season. R&L Carriers’ logo was emblazoned on Kenseth’s Ford Fusion as well as his racing suit and the suit of his entire crew.
“We are proud to be a part of the championship team of Matt Kenseth and Roush Racing. This victory is shared by all our valued employees and customers across the country and this opportunity is only made possible by their commitment and dedication to the truckline,” said Greg Bronner, director of marketing of R&L Carriers, Inc.
The R&L logo could easily be seen throughout the race as Kenseth battled for the lead.
R&L Carriers is an associate sponsor for Kenseth. For a total of four races this season (May 24, July 4, Sept. 5 and Oct. 11), Kenseth’s Ford will prominently display the green and yellow colors of R&L as well as the company’s logo, according to Donald R. DeLuca, vice president and general counsel for R&L.
For the remainder of the Sprint Cup season, R&L Carriers brand will be located on either the rear quarter panel or on the TV panel.
This is the final year of a three-year contract R&L has with Kenseth.
