The annual meeting of the Blanchester Area Historical Society will be held Tuesday in the community room at the Blanchester Municipal Building.

A covered dish dinner will be shared by members and guests at 6 p.m., preceding the business meeting. Take a covered dish. Other items will be provided.

There will be a review of historical society activities during 2007.

Displays of some items donated to the historical society and pictures relating to Blanchester and events during 2007 will be set up.

Election of officers and five positions on the Board of Directors will be filled during the meeting. Plans for 2008 will be shared and will include programs for meetings and tours planned and other projects.

Anyone interested in local history, genealogy, antiques or early crafts is invited to attend any of the meetings and to join the historical society. Membership dues are $10 per person, $20 for a family or $25 for business memberships. New members are welcome.

Dues may be paid at the museum, at meetings or mailed to the Blanchester Area Historical Society, 206 W. Main St., Blanchester, Oh 45107-1134.
