Three arrested in Midland meth bust

WCS budget $290,000 in red
For the fiscal year ending June 30, Wilmington City Schools (WCS) ended up $290,000 in the red. A school board member at Monday’s meeting, though, said the budget shortfall figure isn’t so bad, considering.

Former exec sues CMH
A former chief financial officer (CFO) for Clinton Memorial Hospital (CMH) has sued the institution, alleging breach of contract. Ronald J. Bachman was an interim CFO from June 2009 to May 17, 2010, when the hospital sent Bachman a letter of termination.
