The production crew helps Det. Brian Edwards of the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office prepare for the shoot. Det. Edwards was the lead investigator in the Culberson case.
Court TV commissions Culberson documentary

Brenz Salon and Day Spa in Wilmington served as the setting for a scene in a Court TV documentary on the Carrie Culberson investigation Thursday.

Brenda Mahoney, owner of the salon, said she received a phone call last week asking permission to use Brenz as a "host" location for a scene in the documentary.

Carrie Ann Culberson, formerly of Blanchester, disappeared on Aug. 28, 1996. Her body was never found, but on March 27, 1997, a Clinton County grand jury indicted her boyfriend, Vincent Doan, on four charges of kidnapping. On Nov. 17, 1997, Judge William McCracken officially sentenced Doan for Culberson's murder.

Culberson was employed as a nail technician in Wilmington at G & G Hair Studio. The salon is no longer in operation.

Libby Sallaway, an employee of Story House Productions (the production company Court TV is using to produce the documentary), said Brenz will be used as a backdrop location for a re-enactment scene of the investigation. The scene depicts Det. Brian Edwards of the Clinton County Sheriff's Department entering the salon to ask questions about Culberson's disappearance. Appearing in the scene is Mallory Minton of Lynchburg, who plays the receptionist, Mahoney and Sarah Arnold of Dayton and Jeanine Anderson of Russelville, who both act the role of Culberson's salon "friends."

Sallaway said the documentary would be used for a Court TV segment called "Missing Persons Unit."

Story House Productions, a production company based in Washington, D.C., will be filming in the area through today. The crew arrived last Monday.

"The Clinton County Sheriff's Department has been wonderful," said Sallaway. "We're really grateful for all the help we've received with this documentary."

Sallaway also mentioned she is very pleased with the assistance the production crew received from Massie Township Fire Department.

"They really helped a lot with the search scene we did at Caesar Creek," she said. "We're just really happy to tell the story of this investigation and the great people who helped it happen."

The people that are out there that knows the truth are Vincent Doan and his family.

I am 100% for sure That if they made a call to the DA's office That Doan was ready to "man up " and tell the truth of what he and Tracey Baker did with Carrie's body. Everyone would listen.

As reported on the news before there is even a deal out there that IF he would give Carrie's body back he would get time in prison taken off.

I am not that good at math. But, I would think say 25 to life is much better then 888 years in prsion without parole.

Let us hope and pray that this time Court TV gets some new info that will bring Carrie's body back home where she belongs.

And that they will not get the same old run around and lies from Carrie's killer and his family. Come on now people. It has been 11 years. It is time to start telling the truth. And bring this to as much of an end as there can be.
