The Clinton County Office of the American Red Cross is working to ensure that at least two people in every household in the community learns to perform lifesaving CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation). After all, if you are the only member of your household with training, what happens if you are the one in need of CPR?
March is CPR month and the Cincinnati Area Chapter of the American Red Cross makes it easy to receive training by offering CPR/AED training courses at the discounted rate of $15. In addition, every Saturday in March and the first Saturday in April, two people can learn for just $15. Below is a list of dates and locations for CPR Saturdays:
• Clinton County — April 4 at Laurel Oaks High School.
• Warren County — March 28 at Kings Island Resort and Conference Center
All sessions are from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The Red Cross’ Adult CPR/AED course provides participants with the know-how to respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies in someone 12 and older, quickly and confidently. Not only does the class teach the most up-to-date version of CPR, but it also provides training in the proper use of an AED (automated external defibrillator). AEDs are becoming more and more common in public places and the ability to use one when available will increase the chance of survival considerably.
The Red Cross wants everyone to be safe all year round. Learn CPR and help save a life.
