Blanchester Village Council recently approved money for roof repairs on the Blanchester Municipal Building & Community Center, but Mayor Chad Hollon said Thursday night that two other areas of the building has not been fixed and is leaking.
Middleton Construction was recently hired to make the additional roof repairs. “The part he fixed is not leaking,” Hollon said. “What he did cured 95 percent of the problem, but the entrance at the back of the building leaked when the village got this building,” Hollon said.
The mayor said there is another leak at one of the caps on the building and it also needs to be fixed.
Middleton Construction will repair both places at a cost of $8,500 which was approved by council.
The village was given a one-year guarantee on labor and 20-years on the material.
