Clinton County Commissioners Mike Curry, Dave Stewart and Randy Riley recognized Steve Fricke, vice president/general manager of Buckley Brothers Inc. for outstanding service to the Clinton County Workforce Policy Board.
Fricke is leaving his volunteer position as chairperson of the board, which he’s held since April 2000, but will remain an active board member.
During this time, Fricke has provided “exceptional leadership and guidance to the board and CCWorks One-Stop,” the county commissioners said. His efforts have made a long-term impact on improved services to the employer community, adult job seekers and at-risk youth of the county, they added.
The new chairperson of the policy board is Danny Mongold, director of Human Resources for the city of Wilmington.
The policy board meets on the third Tuesday bi-monthly beginning in January.
Currently, the Clinton County Workforce Policy Board, which is appointed by the commissioners, has two vacancies.
