Conversation Club holds style show

Conversation Club met for their spring luncheon on Tuesday at the lovely home of Sue Reynolds on the Wilmington College campus.

Tables were decorated with black and white linens with purple African violets as centerpieces. Twenty-three members enjoyed a delicious meal presented by Sodexo Catering, ending with a memorable Creme Brûlée topped with strawberries.

Following the meal, Natalie Youd, owner of Strength and Dignity Boutique, 57 W. Main St., presented a style show. Natalie explained that the name of her shop comes form the Bible — Proverbs 31:25. She told us about the variety of items she carries in the shop.

Susan Henry, Sharon Breckel, Diane Murphy and Eleanor Fay Harris, members of the club, served as models.

Clothing included an elegant long dress, a red casual dress that could be easily packed for vacation, and lots of fun tops to wear with white jeans or cropped pants for summer. Outfits included jewelry and purses. We thank Natalie for the very enjoyable program.

The afternoon ended by introducing the new officers for next year. The club will meet next at the regular time in September.
