A “Reading Nook” for children is now set up inside HealthSource of Ohio, located at 140 W. Main St. in Wilmington. Children can pick a book to read while waiting for their appointment, and are encouraged to take it home. The new Nook is the early literacy piece of the HealthSource of Ohio Foundation which was established to address underlying causes of health disparities. HealthSource of Ohio staff and the Wilmington Public Library donate books to the Reading Nook here. From left are Wilmington HealthSource Practice Manager Shannon Holbert, Wilmington Public Library Director Joe Knueven, HealthSource Foundation Board members Randy Riley and Sandy Mongold, and HealthSource Foundation Senior Development Officer Chelsie Hornsby. HealthSource of Ohio is a private, not-for-profit community health service, and accepts both insured and uninsured patients.
