Wilmington firefighters and police responded quickly to a house at 292 S. Mulberry St. at around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday as the structure was fully engulfed in flames. WFD personnel got the fire under control in short order, with the roof of the front porch collapsing not far from one of the firefighters. Neighbors said the residents, who had just recently moved in, were not at home, and their dogs were safe.
