CLEVELAND (AP) — A second former manager at an Ohio manufacturing plant has been sentenced for what authorities say was an attempt to cover up circumstances surrounding a worker’s 2012 death.

The Warren Tribune Chronicle reports Paul Love, former safety coordinator at Extrudex Aluminum near Youngstown, was sentenced Tuesday in federal court in Cleveland to three months’ home confinement.

The Lake Milton man previously pleaded guilty to conspiracy to obstruct justice. A message seeking comment was left with Love’s attorney.

Former plant manager Brian Carder, of Stow, pleaded guilty to the same charge. He and Love were accused of trying to cover up details of an accident that killed 21-year-old John Tomlin.

Carder was sentenced last week to five months in prison to be served on weekends. His attorney declined to comment Wednesday.
