CHHEW spelling champions

Christian Heritage Home Educators of Wilmington (CHHEW) held its annual Scripps Spelling Bee Thursday, Dec. 5 at the Wilmington Assembly of God. The winner of the 1st-4th grade group was 3rd grade student Melody Haines. The winner of the 5th-8th grade was 8th grade student Mercy Persing, who may qualify to advance to the next competition. First runner-up was 6th grade student Patience Persing, and 2nd runner-up was 8th grade student Gloria Haines. CHHEW is very proud of these students. Great job!
