Amicitia Club celebrates Christmas

Members of the Amicitia Club met for their annual Christmas luncheon on Thursday, Dec. 5 at the Cape May Community Room.

McCoy’s Catering provided a delicious lunch, complete with a festive dessert table. The room was decorated beautifully in Christmas reds and greens, with poinsettias serving as centerpieces.

Faye Burton and Holly Drummond acted as hostesses for the afternoon. Members answered the roll call by sharing their favorite Christmas story, and then Marilyn Myers accompanied the group on the piano for a time of carol singing.

The meeting ended with Marilyn playing a stunning rendition of “Silent Night”, using the same music that her mother, Dorothy Brumbaugh, had used years ago.

Members present enjoying the afternoon were: back row, Faye Burton, Peggy Morgan, Marilyn Myers, Candy Fenner, Brenda Ballinger, Patty Ballinger, Holly Drummond, and guest Vickie Strange; third row, Sue Zimmerman, guest Kim West, and Brenda Haley; second row, President Cindy Petrich, Beth West, and Jackie Ballinger; and, floor, Joyce Kelly and Terry Hoggatt.
