Blan FFA donkey bball a $2.7K success

The Blanchester FFA Alumni held its Donkey Basketball event on March 3. It was an awesome event, and we would like to thank all that showed up!

The Alumni was able to raise $2,700 and these proceeds help support the Dan Shell scholarship for FFA seniors who will be graduating. They will be awarded at the Blanchester FFA Banquet.

Without the community’s support, we wouldn’t have been able to raise the amount of money we did, so, “Thank you!”

On to the hilarious entertainment breakdown. The first game consisted of the sophomore and senior game. Five kids on one team with five donkeys, and five kids on the other team with five donkeys. It was a rough game, with a ton of dud donkeys, but the seniors won 7-2.

The second was a little bit crazier. The final score was 10-9 with the alumni taking the win over the seniors team. Not only this, but the wild card donkeys were going to come out. The game started out pretty good with some bucking donkeys, but the wildcards made it amazing.

A special shout-out to senior Aaron Drexler and alumni Dokata Heeg for being the real stars of the night!

Again, thank you all for your continued support. Until next time …!

The game was a wild ride for both the players and attendees.
