Community assists CCSO, WPD

Service Master by Angler, co-owned by local resident Geoff Ganz and his business partner Mark Gerken, wanted to assist local law enforcement during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ganz indicated that his company has a process that would allow them to disinfect law enforcement vehicles in an effort to keep officers safe using an environmentally friendly solution.

The best part —it was offered at no cost to the law enforcement agency.

Ganz, Gerken and their team set up their equipment in the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office sally-port and began an assembly line process, disinfecting all of the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office vehicles as well as all of Wilmington Police Department’s vehicles.

The process was efficient and provides officers with a peace of mind that the cruiser has been de-contaminated not just for COVID-19, but for the many other infectious diseases our officers encounter on a regular basis.

Support for the Sheriff’s Office did not start or stop with the disinfecting of our cruisers.

Many local businesses as well as countless community members have shown their support of the Sheriff’s Office by donating cleaning supplies, personal protection equipment, making cloth masks for officers, to providing gift cards to local food establishments so officers could have a meal at no cost.

Thank you for support!
