Auditor’s Office resumes normal hours

Clinton County Auditor Terry Habermehl announced that beginning Monday, June 1, his office will resume normal operating hours — 8 a.m.-4 p.m.Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday.

“While we continue to strongly recommend the use of automated and mail-in options for services such as dog license sales, deed transfers, and other department functions, the office will begin accepting walk-up traffic during normal operating hours while continuing to follow safety precautions designed to protect both the public and auditor staff,” said Habermehl. “Those precautions include limited access into the office as well as the requirement to wear a mask or other face covering that covers both the mouth and nose for individuals admitted to the auditor’s office.

“While the auditor’s office staff has been very successful in providing services remotely over the last two-and-a-half months, it will be good to get back to a semi-normal operating atmosphere,” he added.
