The Clinton County Fur and Feather 4-H Rabbit club met at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 28 through Zoom.

All in-person 4-H events and activities in the county have been canceled through July 6. Members and advisors were glad to see each other via Zoom.

Vice President Mare Harner called the meeting to order. Pledges were done and roll call was taken. Advisors gave updates including the rabbit skillathon planned for Monday of the fair. Skillathon will include Breed ID, Tattooing, Rabbit Behaviors, and Confirmation. Fair entries are due June 1. Forms are online.

Members showing market rabbits must complete a quality assurance session. There are three QA sessions left: June 3, June 13 and June 27. Rabbit Check In for Market Fryer & Breeding Rabbits/those that need a tattoo is 6-8 pm. on July 7 at the Fairgrounds Rabbit Barn.

The Clinton County Junior Fair is scheduled for July 11-18.

After the business meeting, advisors asked skillathon practice questions. Rosie Hall did a demonstration with her Dutch rabbit.

The next meeting is Wednesday, June 10 at 7 p.m. through Zoom.
