Wilmington junior Claire Burns is two games away from advancing to the state tournament. When play was stopped because of rain Thursday afternoon in the Division I Southwest District Girls Tennis Championship at the Lindner Family Tennis Center, Burns led Rashi Loni of Mason 1-6, 6-3, 4-1. Play will resume at 4:30 p.m. Friday. The winner of the match will qualify for state and return Saturday for the semifinal round of matches.
