Family Representatives needed now

WILMINGTON—The Clinton County Family and Children First Council is currently looking for Family Representatives. The council’s purpose is to review services currently in place for Clinton County children and families and to collaboratively plan and implement systematic improvements in those services.

Family Representatives play an important role in the council by participating in meetings and providing family insight, helping to educate other parents about the council’s work, and helping councils work more effectively.

The full council meets six times a year; however, there are additional opportunities to participate in committee meetings. Family Representatives receive a $20 stipend for each meeting attended.

Clinton County residents who are not employed by a council member and who have received services or have a child that has received services from a council member are eligible to serve as a Family Representative. Council members include Clinton County schools, the Clinton County Health Department, and the Clinton County Department of Job and Family Services.

For a complete list of current council members and additional information regarding the role of Family Representatives, please email the council coordinator at [email protected] or call 937-382-5726.
