Clinton County Foundation seeks 2 new board members

The Clinton County Foundation is where generous families, companies and nonprofits make charitable dollars go the furthest for the good of our community. The Foundation’s 13-member board is the guiding light for administration and mission of this local organization that builds the framework for charitable giving in Clinton County.

“The board is asking local community members and leaders to consider joining us as we make a difference,” explained Brad Reynolds, 2021 president of the Foundation board. “We currently have two open positions on the board. We want to be an organization that inspires action to improve all lives in Clinton County. We are seeking two new members to help us in this journey and to guide and support our organization,”

“We seek diverse representation. History has shown that voices from all walks of life, race, backgrounds and socio-economic areas improves the Foundation’s operations and the good that it does.”

Because of this commitment, the Foundation is searching for under-represented populations such as small business owners, faith-based leaders, law enforcement officers, younger people with a keen interest in the charitable work of our community.

“We are losing two great people – Scott Holmer and Janet Dixon — both who have had a significant influence on the Foundation’s operations and success for many years. Replacing them will be difficult but we’re hoping to find folks who have their same passion for our community. We thank them for their dedicated service and wish them the best.” said Reynolds.

Board terms are three years and there is a three-year term limit. Board meetings are normally one-hour and take place the third Tuesday each month. Members will sit on at least one committee that meets as needed. Currently all meetings are remote, via conference call.

Those interested may call the Foundation office or email/mail their resume and cover letter expressing their interest in serving. The deadline for filling the two vacancies is Dec. 26.

The Foundation office phone is 937-566-1634; mailing address is PO Box 831, Wilmington, OH 45177; or email [email protected].
