Restaurant inspections July 6-23

WILMINGTON — The following information is obtained from the Clinton County Health Department and is compiled from inspection reports.

Violations are either critical or non-critical. Critical violations are more likely to contribute to food contamination, illness or an environmental health hazard, including inadequate cooking of food items or poor personal hygiene.

J&D’s Market, 5205 State Route 22/3, Wilmington, 7-21-15, standard. Light not working in hood above pizza oven. Light not working in walk-in cooler. Coleslaw and chicken salad were a few degrees too warm. Tabletop can opener had residues on it. Light bulbs not working in ceiling fixtures above sandwich prep. Space gap observed at bottom of exit door. Dust observed on ceiling in deli.

Midland First Stop, 126-128 Cuba Pike, Midland, 7-21-15, standard. Light not working in reach-in freezer. Light above three-compartment sink not working.

4-H Camp Graham, 164 Springhill Road, Clarksville, 7-20-15, standard. No violations noted.

Kirkwood Camp & Conference Center, 5719 State Route 73 West, Wilmington, 7-20-15, standard. Reach-in cooler drainage dripping onto top shelf, container overflowing, water accumulated on bottom of cooler and food products, door seals separated or damaged. Floor material in back room damaged.

Austin’s Casual Eatery, 35 S. South St., Wilmington, 7-17-15, standard. Prime rib found below raw ground beef. Salsa and alfredo weren’t kept cold enough. Purse found at salad station.

Airborne Express, 145 Hunter Drive, Wilmington, 7-23-15, standard. Tuna and meatballs not kept cold enough; a person in charge said the cooler was open for an extended period of time and usually keeps cold enough. Chicken marked July 14; person in charge discarded. Lighting at salad bar missing shields. Floor tile damaged near fryer. Ceiling light fixtures’ bulbs not working. Water damage on ceiling tiles.

Generations Pizzeria, 100 Lowes Drive, Wilmington, 7-6-15, standard. Sneezeguards not covering food at buffet. Several items weren’t stored cold enough. Chlorine test strips unavailable. Light not working in doors of walk-in cooler. Thermometer in sandwich prep cooler not working. Pink residue found in ice making machine. Cheese debris found on slicer not in use. Food debris observed at handles of trash receptacles. Purse found on food storage shelf. Floor tile damage observed. Wall trim missing or damaged. Orange cleaner missing label. Glue stored on dry food storage shelf; violation corrected.

Eagles Lodge 2222, 113 Wright St., Blanchester, 7-2-15, standard. Probe thermometer unavailable. Drain hose in ice machine submerged in drain pipe. Mops stored on floor. Mop buckets full with used water.
