First National Bank of Blanchester Party in the Park a success

BLANCHESTER — Despite relentless spring rains, The First National Bank of Blanchester held its fifth annual Spring Party in the Park on Friday, May 20 to benefit the FNB Relay for Life Team, captained by Connie Penquite.

Food, drink, music, and face painting are always highlights of the party. This spring’s also incorporated candy bouquets and Relay for Life luminaries — both available for Relay for Life donations. Relay for Life proceeds amounted to more than $1,300.

They were honored to have in attendance cancer survivors and FNB family members Ann Penquite and Evelyn and Cecil Moore, who ran the Luminary Booth. Luminaries were sold in honor of, or in memory of, those who have battled cancer. The luminaries will light the Relay for Life path on June 25. You may still purchase luminaries at the bank.

FNB staff and community volunteers helped make the Party in the Park a huge success. FNB thanks the businesses that graciously gave in support of the Spring Party in the Park, including: Advanced Auto Parts; Auto Zone; The Allen Company; DIBs, LLC; BDK Feed and Supply; Blanchester KOI; Blanchester CVS; Duggins Carpet Cleaning; Beach Photography; Gold Star Chili Blanchester; Hedge Auto Repair; Ideal Fingertip Salon; Sandy’s Hair Care, Sandy Faulkner; Jodi Gundler, DDS; Cabins at Judyview; June Bowling- Flowers by June; Nationwide Insurance- Justin Holbrook; Ron’s Place; Studio on Main; TJ’s Mowing and More; Jacob’s Nursery; Blanchester Save-a-Lot; Caplinger Mower and Repair; Bodley Racing; Wical Roofing; Rick’s Lawn Care; Blanchester Jewelry and Collectibles; Fraley’s Specialties; Cheri Street hand painted art; Moore’s Garden; Lakeside Tree Service; Kidd’s Excavating; Miller Security; Cope Vending; Mockabee Motors; Blanchester Appliance; All About Shine; HollonTrucking; Davis Lawn Maintenance; Blanchester Movie Theater; Kramer Myers Insurance; Curless Printing; and Jeremy Lansing of Leftside Entertainment.

“We had a record turnout of local business support and community volunteers for raffle prize donations and set-up support,” the bank stated. “This event has grown from a charity fundraiser into an event that truly brings our community together. It is with much joy that FNB opens the Penquite Park each spring and fall to bring people of all ages to chat, laugh, dance, and generally encourage each other. What a wonderful Blanchester community! Thank you all!”
