Weather service probing possible Hamilton tornado

HAMILTON, Ohio (AP) — The National Weather Service says it’s investigating a possible tornado after strong winds downed trees and left multiple homes damaged in Hamilton, Ohio in Butler County.

Some residents say they had to take shelter underground as the storm rolled through Hamilton Wednesday evening.

Trees were uprooted and toppled over decks, cars and homes in the area.

Residents also say they saw a funnel cloud. Weather service monitors saw rotation on radar for a short period of time. No one was hurt.

Weather service workers plan to comb through videos and photos of the clouds and may perform a storm site survey on Thursday.
