Clinton County restaurant inspections

WILMINGTON — The following information is obtained from the Clinton County Health Department and is compiled from inspection reports.

Violations are either critical or non-critical. Critical violations are more likely to contribute to food contamination, illness or an environmental health hazard, including inadequate cooking of food items or poor personal hygiene.

The following restaurants or food service establishments were inspected recently:

• Food Mart, 149 West Washington Street, Sabina, July 6. Facility isn’t classified to serve boiled peanuts. Light bulbs missing and not working in reach-in cooler. No written procedure for cleaning up vomit or diarrhea; a new requirement this year. No sign-off sheet showing employees were trained to report illness to a supervisor; a new requirement this year. Inside of microwave had food debris. Broken ceiling tile throughout facility, counter was cracked and broken, cabinet was dirty.

• Subway, 2825 State Route 73 South, Wilmington, July 5. License isn’t posted. No written procedure for cleaning up vomit or diarrhea; a new requirement this year. No sign-off sheet showing employees were trained to report illness to a supervisor; a new requirement this year. No thermometer in reach-in cooler under microwaves. Squeeze bottle of mayonnaise in hand sink. Container labeled “Bactine” in food prep sink. Dumpster behind facility had lids open.

• South Street Wine Cellar, 41 North South Street, Wilmington, July 5. No written procedure for cleaning up vomit or diarrhea; a new requirement this year. No sign-off sheet showing employees were trained to report illness to a supervisor; a new requirement this year.

• The Crave Candy & Nuts, 40 West Main Street, Wilmington, July 5. No issues noted.

• J&D Market, 5205 State Route 22/3, Wilmington, July 5. No written procedure for cleaning up vomit or diarrhea; a new requirement this year. No sign-off sheet showing employees were trained to report illness to a supervisor; a new requirement this year. Non-working lights in milk reach-in cooler.

• Pizza Hut, 486 Main Street, Wilmington, July 6. Reach-in cooler needs repair and thermometer, wasn’t holding at appropriate temperature.

• Royalton Inn & Suites, 201 Carrie Drive, Wilmington, July 7. No written procedure for cleaning up vomit or diarrhea; a new requirement this year. No sign-off sheet showing employees were trained to report illness to a supervisor; a new requirement this year.

• Holiday Inn Express, 55 Holiday Drive, Wilmington, July 7. No written procedure for cleaning up vomit or diarrhea; a new requirement this year. No sign-off sheet showing employees were trained to report illness to a supervisor; a new requirement this year.
