The board members of the Clinton County Foundation have announced the hiring of an executive director, Jan Blohm of Wilmington.

For 29 years, the Clinton County Foundation “has been anchored to our community through charitable endeavors and providing donors with successful financial options for giving,” Foundation President Lauren Raizk said. “Hiring a director is the next step in the organization’s evolution as the center for philanthropy in Clinton County.”

The Clinton County Foundation is a simple concept that touches the lives of Clinton Countians in many different ways. The foundation stewards more than 300 funds that provide resources to charitable causes. It invests donors’ gifts, so that the funds will grow and awards grants annually for the purpose set by the donor.

“Jan Blohm has the experience we wanted. She cares about the community and wants to help donors transform their dreams into legacies,” said Raizk.

The foundation continues to maintain its strong relationship with Peoples Bank Trust Department, formerly National Bank and Trust.

“I want to work with donors and their financial advisers to craft charitable giving options that allow them to do good in the community while doing well financially,” said Blohm. “The board and I will work tirelessly, with our partners, to make our community the best and strongest it can be.”

Raizk said that the foundation intends to have a visible presence in the community in the coming months. A new foundation office will provide space where community and philanthropy can converge and create a better future for the county.
