The Clinton-Warren Joint Fire District responded to an overturned semi-truck and trailer on Settlemyre Road near Ward-Koebel Road in Warren County Wednesday morning. Chief Bob Wysong said the truck rolled into a DP&L power pole, causing the lines to continue arcing and creating a hazardous situation, including sparking fires in nearby trees. The truck was hauling 46,000 pounds of soybeans. The power had to be shut off by DP&L before the truck could be moved. The driver received minor injuries but refused treatment or transport, Wysong said. Also on the scene were the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Warren County Sheriff’s Office, ODOT officers and the Washington Township Road Department assisting with traffic.
