Clinton County Sheriff’s Office arrests, reports

WILMINGTON — The following report is generated from reports provided by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office. All those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court. Incidents are presumed to be under investigation. Charges may be dropped or changed in court.

Sheriff’s deputies recently received the following reports:

• More than 80 oxycodone pills were reported stolen August 16 from a State Route 72 North, Sabina, home.

• Drug abuse items and possible drugs were allegedly found in a black Dodge Dakota on U.S. 22 East near Melvin Road after a traffic stop on August 16. The driver of the vehicle was cited for allegedly driving under suspension and released.

• A Wilson township resident reported August 15 someone attempted to use cash two checks from a checkbook that was stolen a year ago.

• A bank card was reported stolen from a Leesburg home on August 17. The theft occurred over the previous weekend.

Sheriff’s deputies recently arrested or charged the following people:

• Gary Brandenstein, 41, of Clarksville, for domestic violence after allegedly making threats to harm someone on Aug. 18 on Clarksville Road.
