Local student on WC dean’s list

One Clinton County resident earned spring dean’s list honors at Wilmington College — Michaela L. Arehart, a senior business administration major. To be eligible, a student must be enrolled full-time and maintain at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Road closures for railroad work

Beginning Friday, Aug. 21, weather permitting, Farmers Road and Cemetery Road will be closed at the railroad tracks for work on the crossings on each road, according to the Clinton County Engineer’s Office. The work is being performed by Greenfield Railroad. The roads should be open by Tuesday, Aug. 25.

Roads to close for I&O Railroad work

These roads in Clinton and surrounding counties will be closed on the below tentative dates for track maintenance work by I&O Railroad:

Aug. 20-24, Lazenby; Aug. 22-23, Champlin; Aug. 23-24, Dalton; Aug. 25-26, Hoppes. and Aug. 27-28, Yeoman.

These are tentative dates and may change with asphalt availability as well as the weather.
