Clinton County residents will transform empty shoeboxes into gifts filled with toys, school supplies and hygiene items Nov. 14-21.

Volunteers at Calvary Baptist Church in Wilmington and at the Blanchester Church of Christ will host drop-off locations for shoebox gifts. The gifts will then be delivered around the world by the Samaritan’s Purse project Operation Christmas Child to children who are living in the midst of poverty, war, disease or natural disaster.

The locations and hours for local drop-offs are:

• Calvary Baptist Church, 1920 US 22/3, Wilmington: noon-6 p.m. Nov. 14, 15, 16, 17, 18; 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Nov. 19; 1-6 p.m. Nov. 20.

• Blanchester Church of Christ, 911 Cherry St., Blanchester: 4-6 p.m. Nov. 14, 15, 17, 18; 5-7 p.m. Nov. 16; and noon-2 p.m. Nov. 19 and 20.
