WILMINGTON — The following report is generated from reports provided by the Wilmington Police Department. All those arrested are presumed innocent until possibly proven guilty in court. Incidents are presumed to be under investigation. Charges may be dropped or changed in court.

Wilmington police recently received the following reports:

• At 12:02 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5 police were contacted in reference to a reported assault. A 65-year-old male from Wilmington reported that he was assaulted by a 64-year-old male cab driver. According to the report, the driver picked the victim up at the Marathon on East Main Street and was transporting him to somewhere on Rombach Avenue between 6 and 7 p.m. The victim then stated that the driver “snapped” and slammed on the brakes, causing injuries to the victim. Authorities contacted the cab service and made contact with the driver, who said he didn’t remember the previous incident going as the victim reported. Police attempted to discuss this further with the victim, but there no other word from him.

• Police responded to a two-vehicle accident at 12:07 p.m. on Saturday at East Locust and North Lincoln Street. According to the report, police made contact with the drivers of the vehicles, a 30-year-old female and a 54-year-old male, both of Wilmington. The male was on East Locust Street and made a traffic stop and the female came up behind him and allegedly struck the rear of his car. Both vehicles suffered minor damage.

• Authorities responded to a shoplifting complaint at a store on South Street at 4:14 p.m. on Friday. According to the report, the female suspect put a bunch of items in her cart, a backpack, and her purse. The suspect then left the cart and backpack with the purse, which consisted of an unknown amount of items. Employees confronted her and she stated she wasn’t coming back to the store. She left the store in a maroon colored truck with a male driver. In the report, the suspect was described as a heavyset woman in her 50s.

• Officials received a theft call at 6:19 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2. The 44-year-old female caller from Wilmington told authorities that someone stole her rear license plate. The responding officer also told the caller to place her front plates in the rear until she gets new ones.

• Police responded to Wilmington High School at 1:55 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2 in response to a drug call. According to the report, a student had the following on him: a wooden box with marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia, and a plastic container with marijuana and eight bags of marijuana.

• Police were called to the 200 block of Linton Drive on a vandalism complaint at 2 p.m. on Sunday. The 22-year-old female resident told authorities that someone had egged her car. She only wanted to have the incident documented.

• At 6:27 p.m. on Sunday, police responded to a theft complaint at the 1-99 Block of Jodie Lane. The 23-year-old male resident reported that 12-gauge Mossberg Maverick 88 shotgun was stolen. Authorities have a 25-year-old suspect.

• Police responded to a theft complaint at 6:44 p.m. on Sunday at the 200 Block of Columbus Street. According to the report, the 51-year-old male resident told authorities that $30, a two-piece drill, a Sawzall, valued at $230, were taken.

Wilmington police also recently arrested or charged the following people:

• Brandon Fall, 18, of Wilmington, was arrested for alleged burglary/breaking and entry on Nov. 1.

• James Liddil, 44, of Wilmington, was arrested for alleged disorderly conduct persisting intoxication.
