Clinton County Municipal Court sentences

WILMINGTON — The following report is compiled using a disposition report provided by Clinton County Municipal Court. The information includes the defendant’s name, age, residence if listed, charge(s) disposed, fine, court costs assessed, jail sentence and any special conditions. Municipal Judge Mike Daugherty oversees the court, which administers the law in criminal misdemeanor cases.

The following pled guilty or were found guilty of crimes between Nov. 1 and Nov. 7:

• Michael Foster, 54, of Wilmington, O.V.I., sentenced to 90 days in jail, fined $1,075, assessed $125 court costs, operator’s license suspended from Oct. 31, 2016 to March 30, 2017. Jail time stayed to allow the defendant to complete supervised probation, three residential driver intervention program, driving privileges granted effective Nov. 15, 2016, ALS vacated if the court will suspend $375 of fine.

• Eric Ford, 26, of Sabina, theft, possession of drug instruments, sentenced to 270 days in jail, fined $500, assessed $250 court costs. Assessed for Vivitrol, must pay restitution of $200 and have no contact with the victim and write a little of apology.

• Jeffrey Salisbury, 38, of Wilmington, two counts of driving under suspension, unauthorized use of motor vehicle, sentenced to 240 days in jail, fined $1,000, assessed $375 court costs. Salisbury will pay costs only for DUS charges. An additional charge of failure to control was dismissed.

• Matthew Fulton, 30, of Wilmington, theft, trespassing, sentenced to 210 days in jail, fined $50, assessed $125 court costs. Must pay $3.29 restitution, he must have no contact with business and write a letter of apology. There was no fine for trespassing and costs were waived.

• Rickey Kaufman, 62, of Wilmington, domestic violence, sentenced to 180 days in jail (suspended), fined $1,000, assessed $125 court costs. He must have no contact with the victim and write a letter of apology, he must complete VA anger management; if compliant, court will suspend all jail time and a portion of fine.

• Sarah Stevenson, 36, credit misuse, sentenced to 180 days in jail, fined $1,000, assessed $125 court costs. The charge was amended from receiving stolen property and write a letter of apology to the victim.

• Megan Harner, 32, of Clarksville, criminal damage, sentenced to 30 days in jail (suspended). Harner must complete 16 hours of community service, have no similar offense and have good behavior for one year, must be monitored by non-reporting probation.

• Markel Sparks, 24, trespassing, sentenced to 30 days in jail (suspended), fined $250, assessed $125 court costs. Sparks must write a letter of apology to the victim and have no contact with them.

• Brittany Benefield, 25, of Thaxton, going 90 in a 70 mph speed zone, fined $95, assessed $125 court costs.

• Sherwin Queen, 30, of Wilmington, possession of drugs, drug paraphernalia, fined $200, assessed $250 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.

• Tiffany Clifton, 24, of Wilmington, driving under suspension — financially, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs. The charge was amended from a driving under suspension misdemeanor 1. Additional charges of fictitious registration and driving under suspicion — financially were dismissed.

• Shannon Oaks, 39, of Midland, drug paraphernalia, fined $90, assessed $125 court costs.

• Matthew Frick, 23, of Sabina, drug paraphernalia, sentenced to 30 days in jail (suspended), fined $250, assessed $125 court costs. The paraphernalia was forfeited to state for destruction, the defendant shall commit no offenses for one year and report on Nov. 4, 2016 at 10:45 a.m. for a drug test.

• Travis Creamer, 33, of Sabina, possession of drug instruments, sentenced to 90 days in jail, fined $750, assessed $125 court costs. Assess defendant for treatment-based alternative; if compliant, court will suspend $375.

• Ashton Morris, 19, of Wilmington, possession of marijuana, fined $50, assessed $125 court costs, operator’s license suspended from Nov. 2, 2016 to May 1, 2017. A second charge of marijuana possession was dismissed.

• Gina Spurlock, 53, of Wilmington, trespassing, sentenced to 10 days in jail (suspended), fined $50, assessed $125 court costs. Spurlock must write a letter of apology and have no contact with the business.

• James Liddil, 44, of Wilmington, disorderly conduct, sentenced to 10 days in jail (9 suspended), assessed $125 court costs. Liddil will pay costs only, obey doctors orders, and have no alcohol.

• Jonathan Simmons, 41, of Franklin, possession of marijuana, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.

• Mariama Stenson, 44, of Cincinnati, going 92 in a 70 mph speed zone, fined $105, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.
