WILMINGTON — CMH Regional Health System announced that its Home Health Agency has been named a Top Agency of the 2016 HomeCare Elite, a recognition of the top-performing home health agencies in the United States.

This is the 11th consecutive year that CMH Home Health has been recognized among HomeCare Elite, making it one of only eight agencies in Ohio to make the list for 11 consecutive years, and one of only 104 agencies nationwide (of over 9,000 agencies reporting).

Now in its 11th year, the HomeCare Elite identifies the top 25 percent of Medicare-certified agencies and highlights the top 100 and top 500 agencies overall. Winners are ranked by an analysis of publicly available performance measures in quality outcomes, best practice (process measure) implementation, patient experience (Home Health CAHPS), quality improvement and consistency, and financial performance. In order to be considered, an agency must be Medicare-certified and have data for at least one outcome in Home Health Compare.

The award is sponsored by OCS HomeCare by National Research Corporation, the leading provider of home health and hospice metrics and analytics, and DecisionHealth, publisher of the most respected independent publication in the home care profession, Home Health Line.

CMH CEO Greg Nielsen commended Home Health for their commitment to patient care.

“We’re proud of our home health team, who consistently go above and beyond to deliver the compassionate care expected at CMH to patients’ homes every single day,” he said. “They’ve once again proven that they are among the very best in the country.”
