This spring marked the 30th anniversary of the dental practice of Gary Blumberg, DDS, seated in patient’s chair, located in Wilmington across from the public library. Standing from left, Office Manager Loretta McWhorter and Dental Assistant Valerie Brewer started within days of each other 30 years ago. Blumberg said “mutual respect” contributes to a workplace chemistry that’s existed among the trio for the three decades. McWhorter said Blumberg is very laid back and easy to work for, and Brewer noted that when she and McWhorter started they both had young children and their boss would work things out if they needed to be with sick kids. Thirty years ago, Blumberg acquired an existing dental practice of Dr. Willard Lane.
