WILMINGTON — About 40 local businesspeople and residents attended the recent free “Multimedia Marketing for Small-Medium Businesses” presented by author and digital marketing expert Mike Blinder.

Sponsored by the Wilmington News Journal and held at the Kelly Center at Wilmington College, the event featured a presentation by Blinder on effective advertising in both print and digital formats.

Blinder instructed attendees on aspects including what multimedia is and how it is becoming even more effective for small businesses, how to raise results on Google and Yahoo! to get found by those searching for a business’s product or service, and how to combine print, web, social media and mobile for increased results.

“Blinder’s presentation the most informative I’ve seen on this topic, and he kept things hopping with his fast-paced and entertaining style,” said News Journal Editor Tom Barr.

The News Journal sales staff is currently setting up meetings with business owners for June 24, 25 and 26 to hear from specialist Bob Kellagher, an associate with the Blinder Group, about how to optimize multi-media marketing.

“This is a great opportunity for local businesses to ensure success in advertising by getting all the details they need on digital and print media marketing,” said News Journal Media Sales Director Laura Kasserman.
