Students: Want to spend a year abroad?

0

WILMINGTON — ASSE — originally established as American-Scandinavian Student Exchange — is looking for local students who are ready for the adventure of a lifetime. Wilmington-area students ages 15-18 are welcome to apply to spend a semester or academic year abroad in Europe, Asia, North and South America, New Zealand, Australia or South Africa.

Students qualify for this unique opportunity on the basis of academic performance, character references and a genuine desire to experience life abroad with a volunteer host family. Financial aid is available and students may apply for scholarships to offset program costs.

ASSE also has international opportunities available for local families who want to open up their home to host students from Europe, South America, Asia, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. These students are 15-18 years old and attend the local school for a semester or academic year.

Students or families interested in more information about ASSE programs, or to set up an interview should contact Kaity Stuckert at 315-720-5641 or visit ASSE’s website at www.asse.com.
