COWAN LAKE — Blanchester Cub Scout Pack 45 met Feb. 11 for their first Chiller Challenge at Cowan Lake State Park — the challenge was teaching them skills and working as a team.

They had a great turnout of boys and the event was a huge success thanks to the dedicated leaders — Lucas Rayburn, Jon Morlan, Jeremy Skates, Wendy Skates, Tom Dazey, Ritch White, Darren Davenport, Bev Johnson, plus Cowan Lake State Park and Naturalist Sara, Blanchester Gold Star Chili which provided donations for lunch and Blanchester’s Allen Company which provided water bottles.

Without this team effort of leaders and community help this would not have been the huge success it was for the young scouts.
