Walk for Life: ‘We Have this Hope’

WILMINGTON — The New Life Clinic is now operating out of its newly remodeled building in downtown Wilmington. Since 1986 the ministry has served men and women in this community who are facing unplanned pregnancies.

Because these individuals often feel they have no hope, the theme for this year’s Walk for Life, to be held Saturday, April 15, is We Have this Hope. Their hope is that every client will be empowered to make a healthy decision regarding their pregnancy, and to know that they are not alone in their journey.

The goal for the walk is to raise operating funds to educate, assist, and serve each client that walks through the doors of New Life Clinic, by ministering to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of those involved in pregnancy related circumstances.

The Walk for Life is the largest of the fundraisers for New Life Clinic. Every dollar raised is carefully used to keep this non-profit organization serving clients. In 2015, NLC saw nearly 1,000 clients. Since becoming the NLC in 2012, they have assisted, on average, over 900 clients each year.

They encourage individuals, churches, and businesses to participate in the event featuring fun, food and fellowship. If you would like to establish a team of walkers, please contact Julie Combs at 937-725-7886. Individual walkers are also welcome.
