Nursing, Business part of SSCC, OCU partnership

Southern State Community College and Ohio Christian University continue to benefit from their partnership in providing career advancement in the Business and Nursing programs, providing students a pathway for the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree.

The RN to BSN Program:

• offers the licensed Registered Nurse and opportunity to complete the BSN on site at all four SSCC campuses: Hillsboro, Wilmington, Washington C.H., & Mt. Orab or entirely on line. Nursing students in the final semester of their Associate Degree program may enroll and begin the transition to our Baccalaureate program while applying and completing the NCLES-RN exam.

• is a fully accredited Baccalaureate Nursing education program by the HLC, ABHE and CCNE.

• courses are all five weeks in length, one night a week (always the same night for a cohort), no written exams and no clinical courses. Students are enrolled one course at a time and are considered full-time which qualifies them for financial aid. Full-time students can complete the requirements for the BSN in as little as 18 months, depending on the number of credits earned in the ADN program.

• The Nursing program also offers additional concentrations (4 courses) in Health Care Management, Missionary Nursing and Faith Community Nursing for nurses interested in these practice areas. A graduate program in Nursing is in the planning stages.

• Partnership Specifics: SSCC graduates enjoy the open enrollment policy, SSCC course credits (with a C grade or better) all transfer in, available at all four campuses, $500 partnership credit for SSCC grads

AGS business programs

The College of Adult and Graduate Studies (AGS) business programs are designed to prepare students for success in the business world. Students name diversity in their cohorts as one of the benefits of the business program. The cohort model, in which groups of students move through their academic programs together, provides an enriched learning experience. By interacting with students from other industries such as education, manufacturing, accounting, finance, and healthcare, they can learn from and network with classmates with varied business perspectives.

• The business programs are accredited through HLC and ABHE.

• BABM and concentrations offered (Offered only at Hillsboro, Washington C.H. and Wilmington). Business management concentration is available in the onsite format. Students can mix additional online concentration offerings in the areas of: Accounting; Business Management; Criminal Justice Administration; Disaster Management and Relief; Healthcare Management; Human Resources; Information Technology; Insurance; Logistics Management; Marketing; and Organizational Leadership.

MBA programs are offered at SSCC in a hybrid format. Students have the opportunity to meet face-to-face supplemented by online interaction during the week. The hybrid approach provides students the ability to for onsite interaction while reducing the classroom hours required.

Online concentration options in: Accounting; Digital Marketing; Finance; Healthcare Management; Human Resources; and Organizational Leadership.

• Partnership specifics: One night a week, one class at a time, SSCC classes all transfer in, available at all four campuses Hillsboro, Washington C.H., Wilmington, Mt. Orab, and the 500 partnership credit for SSCC grads.
