The East Clinton FFA recently competed in State Finals in Dairy Judging at The Ohio State University dairy farm on April 28. The team of Gracie McCarren, Taylor Boeckmann, Tabby Vance and Denver Bernard placed fourth in state, qualifying for Nationals next fall in Springfield, Massachusetts, and also earned another banner for the FFA chapter.
Tabby Vance was 10th overall, while Gracie was 24th, Taylor was 27th and Denver was 35th overall in the state.
This team of four was the finalist from the team that judged earlier in the year.
The team of Tabby Vance, Taylor Boeckmann, Gracie McCarren, Denver Bernard, Hannah Pickering, Shelby Williams, Grace Cooper, Ashley Kinner, Dakota Slone, Bailey Corcoran, Nathan Vest and Brendon Walters placed in the top four in six previous contest they attended this year including placing first in the district contest.
The team would like to thank all the farms and farmers who allowed them out this past year. The team attended over 19 dairy cattle farms around Ohio for practices to prepare for the state contest.
