WHS’ Murphy among Rotary honorees

WILMINGTON — Senior Lindsey Murphy was selected to represent Wilmington High School as one of the Wilmington Noon Rotary Club’s April Students of the Month.

Lindsey is known throughout the Wilmington community for her strong character and academic, athletic, and civic leadership.

She is a member of the girls golf and swim team, Wind Ensemble, and Interact Club. She serves as a member for Junior Council on World Affairs, treasure of Key Club, and president of National Honor Society.

She is also a 2016 graduate of the Culver Academies Summer Schools and Camps.

Outside the classroom, she enjoys sailing, golfing with friends, and volunteering in her community.

Looking to the future, Lindsey plans to attend Bowling Green State University where she will major in gerontology with a minor in business.

She joined other area Students of the Month at the Wilmington Noon Rotary club luncheon held at Damon’s Grill in Wilmington.

Lindsey is the daughter of Jeff and Paula Murphy.
