Partnering to help others

CLINTON COUNTY — Each year the United Way of Clinton County partners with local agencies to help serve more than 20,000 people in our community. They offer programs from newborn to senior citizens and everything in-between; the focus can change from year to year, based on the needs of our community.

This year they started a Community Initiative program in our local schools, teaming up with the employees of RT Process and Liberty Savings Bank to do a personal hygiene project for Clinton County schools.

This past fall, they found out that there are several students at all our local schools that are in need of these items. There are kids that do not get these needs met at home, so each elementary provides a supply closet to keep personal hygiene products for those students.

Employees of RT Process and Liberty Savings heard about this need and stepped up, filling baskets to provide each school.

Earlier this year, the ladies of both chapters of Beta Sigma Phi also contributed to the Personal Hygiene Project.

“We are so thankful for the support we get from these local businesses, we couldn’t do it without them!” said United Way of Clinton County Executive Director Amanda Harrison.

Any business or individual that would be interested in getting involved in a Community Initiative may contact the United Way office at 937-383-4846.
