At Garrison Cemetery, honoring the fallen

Garrison Corner Cemetery Association was honored to have Chester H. Wilson, World War II veteran and recipient of two Purple Hearts, lay the memorial wreath at the Memorial Day ceremony, Monday.

He served with the 83rd Division, 330 Regiment, Co K in France and Normandy, attaining the rank of Sergeant.

Greg Hefner was the featured speaker and American Legion Post 179, Blanchester, gave the gun salute.

Blanchester Boy Scout Troop 47 did the Presentation of Colors and Marvin Chamberlin led the singing of God Bless America. Brady Fields played Taps; he is a member of Blanchester Scout Troop 47.

Joann Chamberlin, Secretary of the Garrison Corner Cemetery Association, welcomed everyone to the annual Memorial Day program honoring our veterans.
