Municipal court hands down sentences

WILMINGTON — The following report is compiled using a disposition report provided by Clinton County Municipal Court. The information includes the defendant’s name, age, residence if listed, charge(s) disposed, fine, court costs assessed, jail sentence and any special conditions. Municipal Judge Mike Daugherty oversees the court, which administers the law in criminal misdemeanor cases.

The following pled guilty or were found guilty between June 5 and June 9:

• Gary Seitz, 26, of Sabina, two counts of theft, trespassing, sentenced to 390 days in jail, fined $300, assessed $375 court costs. Seitz must write a letter of apology to the victims, have no contact with them, pay restitution of $37.36. Additional charges of drug instrument possession, two additional trespassing charges, drug paraphernalia were dismissed.

• Joseph Dettwiller, 25, of Sabina, two counts of theft, hit-skip, driving under suspension-failing to reinstate, sentenced to 540 days in jail (60 days suspended), operator’s license suspended from June 7, 2017 to June 7, 2018, fined $1,125, assessed $500 court costs. Dettwiller must write a letter of apology to the victims. Additional charges of criminal damages and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle were dismissed.

• Bobbie Williams, 36, of Jeffersonville, theft, sentenced to 10 days in jail (nine days suspended), fined $100, assessed $125 court costs. Williams must write a letter of apology to the victim and have no contact with them. Williams must complete 16 hours of community service and two years of non-reporting probation.

• Ryan Campbell, 24, of Port William, receiving stolen property, two counts of theft, drug instrument possession, credit misuse, 810 days in jail, assessed $500 court costs. Campbell will only pay costs for the charges. The contraband was ordered destroyed. Campbell is to have no contact with the victims. Three additional credit misuse charges, an additional theft charge, a falsification charge and an unauthorized use of property charge were dismissed.

• Cody Frederick, 27, of Greenfield, theft, sentenced to 36 days in jail (30 days suspended), fined $100, assessed $125 court costs. Frederick must write a letter of apology to the victim and have no contact with them. Frederick must take part in two years of non-reporting probation.

• Adam Taylor, 34, of Wilmington, domestic violence, sentenced to 180 days in jail (suspended), fined $1,000, assessed $125 court costs. Taylor must take part in supervised probation. If compliant, the court will suspend $750 of the fine. Temporary Protection Order was terminated by operation of law. Taylor is to have no contact with victim and shall be assessed by probation. Taylor must participate in a batterers intervention program.

• Latasha Murphy, 27, of Wilmington, assault, sentenced to 180 days in jail (165 suspended), fined $1,000, assessed $125 court costs. Murphy must take part in supervised probation. If compliant, the court will suspend $500 of fine. Murphy must write a letter of apology to the victim. The charge was amended from a domestic violence charge.

• Patricia Garland, 48, of Wilmington, reckless operation, sentenced to 30 days in jail, fined $250, assessed $125 court costs. The charge was amended from an O.V.I. charge. Garland must complete a three-day non-residential driver intervention program and two years of non-reporting probation. If compliant, the court will suspend $250 of fine. ALS vacated. An additional O.V.I. charge and a marked lane violation were dismissed.

• Brianna Kilbane, 21, of Avon, going 91 in a 70 mph speed zone, fined $105, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.

• Jan Sharp, 71, of Cincinnati, going 90 in a 70 mph speed zone, fined $105, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.

• Anisa Adan, 26, of Louisville, going 90 in a 70 mph speed zone, fined $105, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.

•Douglas Krause, 39, of Brownsville, disorderly conduct, fined $210, assessed $125 court costs.

• George Hodge, Jr., 24, of Midland, driving under suspension-failing to appear/pay fine, going 70 in a 55 mph speed zone, fined $175, assessed $125 court costs. Hodge will pay fines only on the speeding charge. An additional driving under suspension-failing to reinstate charge was dismissed.

• Elisha Mason, 34, drug instrument possession, sentenced to 90 days in jail (77 suspended), fined $750, assessed $125 court costs. Mason must take part in supervised probation. If compliant, the court will suspend $375 of fine.

• Lacy Nace, 23, of Wilmington, marijuana possession, drug paraphernalia, fined $200, assessed $250 court costs.

• Ralph Pedrick, 46, of Washington Court House, drug instrument possession, sentenced to 18 days in jail (suspended), assessed $125 court costs. Pedrick will pay costs only for the charge.

• Daniel Wright, 44, of Wilmington, marijuana possession, fined $50, assessed $125 court costs.

• Charles Johnson, Jr., 43, of Cincinnati, marijuana possession, going 90 in a 70 mph speed zone, fined $80, assessed $250 court costs. An additional charge of drug paraphernalia was dismissed.

• Sergey Yezhel, 32, of Loveland, open container of alcohol, fined $190. The case was waived by the defendant.

• Eddie Smiley, Jr., 24, of Fairfield, marijuana possession, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.

• Douglas Robinson, 32, of Cincinnati, going 90 in a 70 mph speed zone, fined $105, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.

• Mikell Hales, 28, of Greenfield, driving under suspension-financial, fictitious registration, fined $175, assessed $125 court costs. Hales will only pay fines for the registration charge.

• John Matos-Velez, 19, of Wilmington, driving under suspension-financial, fined $125, assessed $125 court costs.

• Linda Sadler, 59, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, going 92 in a 70 mph speed zone, fined $105, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.

• Lavonia Buck, 45, of Cincinnati, driving under suspension, going 83 in a 70 mph speed zone, seat belt violation, sentenced to 10 days in jail (suspended), fined $205, assessed $125 court costs. Buck is to have no other driving offenses in 2017. Buck will pay only pay costs for the speeding and seat belt violation.

• Chaitanya Kadukuntla, 30, of Herndon, Virginia, going 91 in a 70 mph speed zone, fined $105, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.

• Dalton Garland, 25, of Wilmington, driving under suspension-financial, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs. Garland has already completed 26.75 hours of 30 community service hours. Garland must have full compliance with community service.

• Heather Younker, 39, of Wilmington, marijuana possession, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs.

• Amanda Ernst, 23, of Blanchester, drug paraphernalia, sentenced to three days in jail, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs. The contraband was ordered destroyed.

• William Schoeny, 43, of Cincinnati, drug paraphernalia, sentenced to three days in jail, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs.

• Clayton Kuszmaul, 23, of Hilliard, going 90 in a 70 mph speed zone, fined $105, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.
