Quite a splash

Wilmington’s new splash pad was unveiled and, after an official ribbon-cutting, the pad was open for youngsters of all ages Wednesday evening at J.W. Denver Williams Jr. Memorial Park in Wilmington.

Several hundred people attended the event, at which outgoing City of Wilmington Parks Supervisor Lori Williams and incoming supervisor Jermaine Isaac both spoke prior to the ribbon-cutting — and the turning on of the water by Isaac to get the party started.
