City sets Williams’ farewell

Play, discover, and celebrate with the City of Wilmington — through private donations, the Mayor’s Office is hosting a farewell party for the retirement of Lori Williams, Parks and Recreation Superintendent (shown with Mayor John Stanforth). The event is open to the public and you are encouraged to join in the celebration of all the incredible accomplishments made by this outstanding woman. The party will be held on Friday, July 7 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the J.W. Denver Williams Park in the shelters. Complimentary hot dogs, chips, baked beans and blackberry cobbler will be served. If you would like to contribute to the event, please contact the Mayor’s Office at 937-382-5458.
