Clinton County Fair is underway!

In the new horse barn at the Clinton County Fairgrounds, Jenna Hanlon grooms the tail of Luna on Saturday, July 8. The start of the Junior Fair Horse Show, scheduled for 8 a.m. Saturday, was delayed due to the wet ground in the horse arena from earlier rainfall. Luna is wearing a horse sleezy.

Before the midway opened at the Clinton County Fair’s first day Saturday, Anthony Albanese hangs up large stuffed animal prizes at his game booth. The game is basketball shooting.

The concessions area at the new horse barn was operated by a not-for-profit, the Clinton-Massie Local Schools Foundation. On Saturday in the right foreground, Mason Martini, 11, holds a plate of pancakes and sausage, while his mother Trudy Martini, left, gestures.

Higher Ground Helicopters is back at the county fair with ride options and a new helicopter. They are at the fair this year on the weekends.

Former Clinton County Commissioner Mike Curry, right foreground, was driving a golf cart at the fair where carts are utilized as a courtesy service to save visitors time and steps. His two passengers are current Clinton County Commissioners Kerry R. Steed and Brenda K. Woods.
